Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • You have a lower premolar tooth with a single root that is infected at the tip and the nerve is dead.
  • The tooth has not had any previous root canal or other dental procedures.
  • You do not have diabetes, a weakened immune system, or take corticosteroids.
  • You have not taken antibiotics in the last 3 months.
  • You are not pregnant.
