- You are 18 years or older
- You are scheduled for oral or facial surgery under general anesthesia at University Hospital Zurich
- You can tolerate a light device and a gel applicator in your nose
- You do not have allergies to methylene blue or chlorhexidine (ingredients in the treatment)
- Your surgery is not inside your nose and you do not need a breathing tube through your nose
