New ways to check kidney function in sickle cell patients

Who can take part

  • You have sickle cell disease (confirmed type Hb SS) and your kidney function (eGFR) is 135 or higher.
  • Or you have already donated a kidney and it is working well.
  • You are 40 years old or older.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You are not in any other research study that involves medications or treatments.
