AI reading CT scans for lung blood clots

This study is testing whether artificial intelligence can help doctors read CT scans of the lung's blood vessels more accurately and quickly. If you're an adult with a suspected pulmonary embolism who has already had a good-quality CT scan, you may be able to help improve how these scans are interpreted.

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 100 years old.
  • Your doctor suspects you may have a pulmonary embolism (a blood clot in the lungs).
  • You have already had a CTPA scan (a special CT scan of your chest).
  • The images from your CT scan are clear enough for the doctors to use.
  • You do not have severe heart failure, are not on dialysis, and have not had surgery or a stent in your aorta.
