Who can take part

  • You had laparoscopic (keyhole) liver surgery at Oslo University Hospital
  • The ultrasound exam will happen within 72 hours (3 days) after surgery
  • You are not allergic to ultrasound gel
  • You are not carrying certain bacteria (ESBL, MRSA, or VRE) for infection control
  • You do not have severe pain that would get worse when the ultrasound probe presses on your belly
