Who can take part

  • You must be 40 years old or older.
  • You must not have a significant cataract, or you must have already had cataract surgery in the eye being treated.
  • You should need reading glasses or a bifocal addition between +1.00 and +3.00.
  • You must not wear contact lenses regularly.
  • You must have no history of eye surgeries (like LASIK or previous corneal surgery) in the eye being treated, and no glaucoma, diabetes, or other serious eye conditions.
  • You must be able to attend all follow-up visits and sign a consent form.
