Who can take part
- You have severe narrowing of your aortic valve (the main valve that lets blood out of your heart).
- You are scheduled for surgery to replace the valve (with or without coronary bypass surgery).
- You have not had a previous aortic valve replacement.
- Your kidneys are working well enough (GFR above 30).
- You are able to have an MRI (no pacemaker, ICD, insulin pump, or other metal devices).
