PET scan study of heart inflammation after aortic valve replacement

Who can take part

  • Be 18 years or older
  • Have aortic valve narrowing (aortic stenosis) based on echo test results
  • Have symptoms (like shortness of breath with activity) or reduced heart pumping (ejection fraction under 50%)
  • Be able to receive the valve through the groin (femoral artery) based on your vessel anatomy
  • Have no pacemaker or triple-chamber defibrillator before the valve procedure
  • Agree to the trial and be able to provide written consent
