Comparing vedolizumab and infliximab for children with ulcerative colitis

This trial tests vedolizumab, a biologic medicine that reduces inflammation, in children and teenagers who have moderate to severe ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease and have not responded well to other treatments.

This Phase 3 study tests whether vedolizumab can help children with ulcerative colitis (UC) or Crohn’s disease (CD) who improved on earlier treatment. It focuses on kids who can stay off steroid medicines and follow study visits and safety rules.

This study is for children and teenagers with ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease who have already completed a previous vedolizumab study and are doing well. It will look at the long-term safety and effectiveness of continuing vedolizumab treatment.

This study tests the drug vedolizumab in adults with moderate to severe ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease. It aims to see how well the medicine works in a community (non-hospital) setting.

This trial tests whether vedolizumab helps people with moderate-to-severe ulcerative colitis and what changes happen in the gut microbiome (the community of helpful bacteria in your intestines). You may be able to join if you’re an adult with ulcerative colitis who has not used vedolizumab before and haven’t taken certain gut-affecting medicines recently.

This trial compares two treatment approaches for children newly diagnosed with ulcerative colitis: starting with stronger medicines right away versus beginning simpler and stepping up if needed. It may help your child learn which strategy controls symptoms better with fewer flare-ups.
