Who can take part

  • You must have a confirmed diagnosis of squamous cell carcinoma (a type of cancer) in the mouth, throat, or voice box.
  • You must be scheduled for planned surgery that aims to cure this cancer and includes instant biopsy tests during the operation.
  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • You must be enrolled in a social security system (health insurance).
  • You must not have had prior treatment with anti-EGFR antibodies (a type of targeted drug).
  • Your tumor cells must have shown EGFR protein in a previous test (this protein is needed for the device to work).
