Who can take part

  • You are between 14 and 19 years old and in high school (or would be if enrolled).
  • You feel down or depressed often (scoring 60 or higher on a depression screening test).
  • You are comfortable reading and speaking English.
  • If you take medication for mood, your dose must be steady for at least 4 weeks.
  • You have not used the Healthy Minds Program app or a water tracking app before.
  • You do not meditate weekly or have regular mindfulness-based therapy (e.g., ACT, DBT, MBSR) in the past 6 months.
