Who can take part

  • You must be between 14 and 60 years old.
  • You must have a diagnosis of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) or a related condition.
  • Your overall health (performance status) must be good enough for daily activities (ECOG 0-2).
  • Your liver, kidney, and heart function must be within safe limits, as shown by blood tests and an echocardiogram.
  • You cannot have certain types of leukemia (APL or BCR-ABL-positive) or have had prior AML treatment (except low-dose therapy to lower blast counts).
