Who can take part
- Men aged 45 to 80 years
- Troublesome urinary symptoms with a score above 13 on a standard symptom questionnaire (IPSS)
- A weak urinary flow rate (less than 15 ml per second)
- Prostate size between 30 and 80 grams on ultrasound
- No prior surgery for enlarged prostate or prostate cancer
- No active urinary tract infection in the last 10 days
