Bone density comparison: EOS X-ray vs standard DXA scan

Who can take part

  • You are at least 20 years old.
  • You are either having a spine or whole-body X-ray for your regular care, or you are a healthy volunteer for research imaging.
  • You are not pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
  • Your BMI (body mass index) is less than 35.
  • You do not have severe arthritis, fractures, or metal implants in your lower back or hips, and you have the usual 5 lower back bones.
  • You can stand without help and lie still for the X-ray and bone density scans.
