Who can take part

  • Your doctor must have confirmed gastroparesis using a special stomach-emptying test (scintigraphy).
  • Standard treatments (diet, medications) should have failed to control your symptoms.
  • Your gastroparesis symptoms must be severe enough to harm your quality of life.
  • You must understand and speak German well enough for the consent process.
  • You must be 18 years or older and not have had any previous stomach surgery (especially a resection).
