Gastric Stimulation Device for Gastroparesis Belly Pain

This study looks at how a special implanted device that sends gentle electrical pulses to your stomach can help reduce chronic belly pain caused by gastroparesis (a condition where the stomach doesn't empty food properly). You must already have this device implanted and be experiencing moderate to severe daily pain.

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have been diagnosed with gastroparesis (slow stomach emptying)
  • You had an Enterra™ electrical stimulation device implanted at least 8 weeks ago
  • You have daily belly pain related to your stomach that has lasted more than 2 months, with an average pain level of 4 or higher on a 0–10 scale
  • You are not taking daily opioid pain medications
  • You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or have uncontrolled diabetes (blood sugar control)
