Blood test to predict chemo and immunotherapy response in stomach cancer

This trial tests whether a blood test (called immune proteomics) can predict how well chemotherapy and immunotherapy work in people with stomach cancer. If you qualify, you would receive standard chemo or chemo plus immunotherapy before surgery, and researchers will study your blood to see if it can guide future treatment.

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 75 years old.
  • You have been newly diagnosed with stomach cancer (gastric adenocarcinoma).
  • Your tumor is in the stomach or where the stomach meets the esophagus and is at a certain stage (T3-4, no spread to distant organs).
  • Your doctors think you can have chemo or chemo plus immunotherapy before surgery, and that surgery can likely remove all the cancer.
  • You have not had any other cancer treatment for this disease, and you haven't had certain treatments like steroids or blood transfusions recently.
