This study looks at how genes may affect your risk for both gallstones and cirrhosis (liver scarring). You may join if you have gallstones and cirrhosis, but your liver disease must not be due to alcohol, hepatitis, or certain other known causes.

Who can take part
- You must be 18 years or older.
- You must have gallstones (diagnosed by ultrasound) or have had your gallbladder removed because of gallstones.
- You must have cirrhosis (liver scarring) diagnosed by Fibroscan or ultrasound.
- You cannot have a known cause for your liver disease, such as alcohol-related cirrhosis, hepatitis B or C, Wilson's disease, or hemochromatosis (iron overload).
- You cannot have hemolytic anemia (a condition where red blood cells break down too fast).
- You must be able to understand and answer questions in Hindi or English.
