This study looks at whether certain family-related genes make people more likely to develop liver or bile duct cancers without a clear cause. If you had surgery or a transplant for one of these cancers and have had unexplained high liver enzymes or itching, this trial may help find genetic clues.

Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with a primary liver or bile duct cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma, cholangiocarcinoma, or hepatocholangiocarcinoma).
- You do not have a known cause for your liver disease, or you have what doctors call 'cryptogenic' chronic liver disease.
- You had your cancer treated with surgery to remove the tumor or a liver transplant.
- You have had high GGT or alkaline phosphatase levels for at least 6 months, or you have had unexplained itching and high bile salts for 6 months or more.
- You do not have any other known liver disease that could explain your condition (like hepatitis, alcohol-related damage, or primary biliary cholangitis).
- You are willing to sign a consent form to participate.
