This study tests whether a special program can help your thinking and memory recover after a stroke that caused confusion (delirium). You may be able to join if you had a recent ischemic stroke, are 60 or older, and do not have dementia or a severe language problem.

Who can take part

  • You are 60 years old or older
  • You had an ischemic stroke (stroke from a clot) in the last 4 days and were admitted to the hospital within 48 hours
  • You do not have severe trouble speaking or understanding language (aphasia)
  • You do not have pre-existing dementia, depression, or schizophrenia
  • You are able to have an MRI (no metal implants or other reasons that would prevent it)
