- You have had pain, aching, or stiffness in or around your knee for at least 1 month.
- You have not had a knee replacement or are not on a waitlist for one.
- You have not had knee surgery in the last 4 months.
- You have not had a sudden knee injury in the last 6 months.
- You can speak and read English, and you can visit a physiotherapist at a community clinic at specific times.
- You do not have certain types of arthritis (like rheumatoid arthritis or gout) or fibromyalgia, and you have not taken specific medications for those conditions.
