Comparing two pain relief methods for back surgery
Part of Pain clinical trials.
This trial compares two pain control methods during and after a single-level lumbar disc surgery. It aims to see if one method reduces the amount of anesthetic gas used during the operation.

This trial tests whether a nerve block (called an erector spinae plane block) given before surgery can reduce the amount of pain medicine and anesthesia needed during lumbar disc surgery. It may help people have less pain and fewer side effects.
This study compares two types of nerve blocks used to manage pain after lumbar spine surgery. The goal is to see which one provides better pain relief with fewer side effects.
This trial tests whether an ESP block (a type of numbing injection near the spine) can reduce pain after back surgery. It may help you recover with less pain and fewer opioids.
This trial compares two different medications (morphine and dexmedetomidine) given through a spinal injection to see which provides better pain relief after lumbar spine surgery. If you qualify, you will receive one of these treatments or a placebo to help manage your pain after the operation.
This trial compares two different nerve-blocking methods to reduce pain and improve recovery after lower-spine fusion surgery. The goal is to find which technique helps patients recover better with less pain.
This trial tests whether using two nerve blocks (ESP blocks) instead of one provides better pain relief after lumbar stabilization surgery. If you are having back surgery on 2 to 4 vertebrae, this study might help improve your recovery.
