- You are between 20 and 75 years old and have health insurance.
- You have at least one of these: central obesity (waist size ≥35 inches for men, ≥31 inches for women), high blood sugar (≥100 mg/dL or on medication), high blood pressure (≥130/85 mmHg or on medication), high triglycerides (≥150 mg/dL or on medication), low "good" cholesterol (<40 mg/dL for men, <50 mg/dL for women or on medication), or severe obesity (BMI ≥37.5 or ≥32.5 with complications like poorly controlled diabetes, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, or fatty liver).
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
- You have not used Chinese herbal medicine, acupuncture, or other traditional Chinese medicine treatments for weight or metabolic syndrome in the past month.
- You are not currently in another clinical trial.
