Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 80 years old.
- You have a cancer diagnosis and plan to get at least three rounds of chemotherapy.
- Your chemotherapy treatments are at least 2 weeks apart.
- It has been more than 30 days since you had radiation therapy.
- You are not pregnant and agree to use birth control as your doctor advises.
- Your doctor expects you to live more than 3 months.
- You have been taking the same herbal or complementary medicines for the past 30 days and will not start new ones during the study.
- You can carry out daily activities with little or no help (ECOG score 0–2).
- You do not have serious liver, kidney, or blood problems.
- You have not had a bone marrow transplant, brain metastases, or other cancer (except certain skin cancers).
- You do not have seizures, new heart problems, infections, severe stomach issues, or bleeding disorders.
- You do not have thyroid disease, lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, or a drug abuse problem.
- You are not currently in another clinical trial.
