Who can take part
- You are 18–80 years old and have been diagnosed with breast cancer (confirmed by tissue biopsy)
- You developed moderate low white blood cell count (grade II–III neutropenia) while receiving cancer drugs and plan to continue that same treatment for at least 2 more cycles
- Your overall health allows you to continue cancer treatment, with adequate liver, kidney, heart, and lung function
- You have not participated in another new drug trial in the past 4 weeks and are not planning to join another trial during this study
- You have never had bone marrow radiation, stem cell transplant, or bone marrow transplant
- You do not have uncontrolled infections, severe heart/lung/liver/kidney disease, or blood disorders that cause low white cells
