Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 65 years old.
- You have a body mass index (BMI) between 18 and 30 (a measure of weight relative to height).
- You are scheduled for elective (planned, not emergency) surgery that lasts less than 2 hours.
- You will be lying on your back during surgery.
- You are healthy or have mild to moderate health problems (ASA class I to III).
- You are not a current smoker or user of betel nuts, and you do not have any known facial or airway abnormalities, loose teeth, acid reflux, or current throat or airway infection.
