Who can take part

  • Your child must be between 8 and 18 years old.
  • Your child is scheduled for orthopedic, abdominal, chest, or plastic surgery.
  • Your child must be in good general health (ASA classification I, II, or III).
  • Your child cannot have certain mental health conditions like anxiety, phobias, or depression.
  • Your child cannot have nerve pain from the surgery that needs special treatment.
  • Your child will receive general anesthesia (not an epidural, spinal, or local block).
