Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have a stomach infection with H. pylori bacteria (confirmed by a rapid test)
  • You are scheduled for an upper endoscopy (EGD)
  • You have not taken antibiotics, probiotics, or bismuth in the past 4 weeks
  • You have not taken acid-reducing drugs (PPIs) in the past 2 weeks
  • You have not taken NSAIDs or metformin in the past 2 weeks
