Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 55 years old
  • You have moderate to severe methamphetamine use disorder and have finished the earlier ASCME study with ongoing meth use, cravings, or high relapse risk
  • You have no serious heart, blood pressure, thyroid, or other unstable medical conditions that stimulants might worsen
  • You do not have a history of bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, or psychosis that would make the study unsafe
  • If you can become pregnant, you must have a negative pregnancy test and use reliable birth control; you cannot be pregnant or nursing
  • You are willing to be randomly assigned to one of two treatment groups and follow the study plan for the full length of the trial
