Optimizing TMS for stimulant use disorder

Stimulant Use Disorder

This test uses a safe, non-invasive brain stimulation method called TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation) to see if it can help people with stimulant use disorder reduce their cravings and stay sober. You would need to be in an addiction treatment program and have been clean for at least 2 weeks to join.

Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older
  • You have a stimulant use disorder (like problems with cocaine or meth)
  • You have been drug-free (except caffeine or nicotine) for at least 2 weeks
  • You plan to stay in an addiction treatment program until the study is over
  • You do not have any metal in your head, seizures, or a device like a pacemaker
