Who can take part

  • Your child is admitted to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) or Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (PCICU).
  • Your child is between 1 month and under 18 years old.
  • Your child was not discharged from the hospital within the first 12 hours of admission.
  • Your child does not already have acute kidney injury (sudden kidney damage) detected by blood tests 12 hours after being admitted.
