  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have been diagnosed with septic shock
  • You do not have end-stage kidney failure
  • You do not have chronic liver disease
  • You do not have advanced heart failure (NYHA stage 3 or 4)
  • You are not pregnant, do not have active cancer, and do not have a chronic immune or inflammatory disease
