Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 80 years old
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is between 18 and 30
  • You are scheduled for lung surgery through a small chest incision and will be sedated but not put on a breathing machine
  • You are healthy enough for anesthesia (ASA physical status I, II, or III)
  • You are willing to sign a consent form and follow the study plan
