Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 60 years old.
  • You have a body mass index (BMI) between 35 and 50.
  • You are scheduled for a laparoscopic weight loss surgery (sleeve gastrectomy or gastric bypass).
  • You are in good enough health for surgery (ASA class II or III).
  • You do not have any bleeding disorders or take blood thinners that cannot be stopped.
