Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older
- Your burn is from heat (thermal) and covers up to 10% of your body
- Your burn is not full-thickness (not the deepest type) and is not on the head, face, or genitals
- You have no lung damage from smoke or an active infection in the burn
- You can start the study drug between 2 and 24 hours after the burn
- You weigh at least 50 kilograms (110 pounds) and have a BMI of 18 or higher
