Who can take part

  • You must be between 18 and 75 years old.
  • You have had HIV for a long time and your viral load has been undetectable (very low) for more than 3 years on your current HIV medicines.
  • You need a certain amount of hidden HIV in your cells (measured by a special test) to join.
  • Your CD4 cell count must be above 200, meaning your immune system is in decent shape.
  • You cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding, and if you can become pregnant, you must use a reliable birth control method during the study.
  • You must have a primary care doctor for your HIV and be willing to keep seeing them during the study.
