Who can take part
- You are between 14 and 64 years old
- Your body mass index (BMI) is below 35
- You have tried at least 6 weeks of non-surgical treatments (like pain meds or physical therapy) without success
- You have had hip pain for at least 3 months
- An MRI shows a cartilage defect on the ball of your hip joint (femoral head) that is about 1 to 6 square cm in size, and there is no matching damage on the opposite side
- You are not currently using any nicotine products (including cigarettes, vaping, gum, patches) and have stopped for at least 30 days
