Who can take part
- Age 70 or older
- Currently hospitalized
- At risk for malnutrition according to a standard hospital screening (NRS-2002 score of 3 or higher)
- Can eat by mouth
- Kidney function is adequate (eGFR of 30 or higher, checked within the last 6 months)
- No recent heart attack or unstable heart condition in the last 2 days
- Not already taking enzyme pills for pancreas problems
- No planned transplant or new dialysis in the next 6 months
- No removal of all or part of the colon, small intestine, or gallbladder
- No known allergy to any ingredient in the study treatment
