Study on predicting kidney transplant rejection in Scotland

Kidney TransplantKidney Disease, Chronic

Part of Kidney & urinary, Women’s health & pregnancy clinical trials.

This study looks at whether certain tests can help predict or diagnose kidney transplant rejection. If you have had a kidney transplant and are being followed at a main transplant centre in Scotland, you may be able to take part by giving urine samples during your regular check-ups.

Blood test to predict kidney transplant rejection

This study tests a new blood test (called cfDNA) that may help doctors detect early signs of kidney transplant rejection before problems develop. The goal is to help keep your transplanted kidney healthy longer by catching issues early.

New Blood Test to Detect Kidney Transplant Rejection

This trial is testing a new blood test (called TreaT-Assay) to help diagnose acute rejection after a kidney transplant. The goal is to catch rejection earlier and more accurately, so you can get the right treatment faster.

Detecting kidney DNA to spot organ rejection early

This study looks for pieces of kidney DNA in the blood of people who have a kidney transplant and need a biopsy. The goal is to see if this test can help doctors know if the kidney is being rejected without needing a biopsy.

Tissue study for chronic kidney transplant rejection

This study looks at tissue samples from kidney transplant patients who have a specific type of long-term rejection called chronic active humoral rejection (cAMR). It aims to better understand the condition and help future patients.

Test blood markers to predict kidney transplant rejection

This study looks at special blood tests to help predict when kidney transplant rejection might happen. If the markers work, they could help doctors catch rejection earlier and adjust treatment sooner.

NCT03994497Recruiting
Testing a blood marker to predict rejection after kidney transplant

This study looks at a specific marker on immune cells (called CD45RC on T lymphocytes) to see if it can predict when a kidney transplant might reject. If you’re at lower immunologic risk, your blood tests could help doctors spot rejection risk earlier.
