Screening for hepatitis B protein in bowel disease tissue

Colitis-associated Colorectal Cancer (CAC)

Part of Cancer, Digestive system clinical trials.

This study looks for a specific protein (hepatitis B virus X) in tissue samples from patients with certain bowel conditions. It aims to see if this protein might be linked to cancer growth, which could help with early detection or treatment in the future.

NCT07224750Recruiting
A blood test to find early signs of gastrointestinal cancer

This study is testing a blood-based test to detect unique molecules (called miRNAs) that may signal the presence of several types of gut or digestive system cancers. The goal is to develop a simple screening tool that could catch these cancers earlier.

Duarte, California
NCT07001085Recruiting
Blood test to monitor liver cancer after surgery

This study uses a simple blood test to monitor tiny pieces of tumor DNA (ctDNA) in people with colorectal cancer that spread to the liver or with liver cancer (HCC), before and after liver surgery or transplant. It aims to help doctors detect cancer return earlier and guide treatment.

NCT03432806Recruiting
Looking at tissue samples to guide colon cancer treatment

This study collects tissue, blood, and imaging samples from people having surgery for colon cancer or related liver tumors, to learn more about the disease and potentially improve future treatments.

NCT05179486Recruiting
Study genes and blood markers in bile duct and gallbladder cancers

This study looks at genetic and molecular patterns in people with bile duct or gallbladder cancers, and compares them with people without cancer (or with chronic liver disease). It may help researchers understand why these cancers happen and how to spot risk earlier.

Houston, Texas
NCT05577143Recruiting
Blood test screening for colorectal cancer

This study checks whether a blood test can help identify colorectal cancer or precancerous growths. You would have a planned colonoscopy, and researchers compare the blood test results to what the colonoscopy finds.

NCT07840092Recruiting
Blood and tissue markers for liver cancer treatment response

This study looks at blood and tissue samples from people with liver cancer to find markers that can predict how well treatment works and whether the cancer might come back. It may help doctors personalize treatment and follow-up care.
