- You are a man aged 18 or older
- You have been diagnosed with prostate cancer that has spread to other parts of the body (metastatic) and is still sensitive to hormone therapy
- You are able to take care of yourself (ECOG score of 0 to 2, meaning you can do daily activities with some help if needed)
- You have not had hormone therapy or certain bone treatments before
- You do not have osteoporosis, bone diseases, or cancer in your spine
- You have no other active cancer
