Who can take part

  • You must already know your genetic status as either a cystic fibrosis (CF) carrier or a healthy control.
  • You must be comfortable reading and speaking English.
  • You cannot have type 1 or type 2 diabetes.
  • You cannot have a history of heart problems such as heart attack, stroke, heart failure, or hardening of the arteries.
  • You cannot be pregnant or taking heart medications like beta blockers or water pills.
  • You cannot be in prison and must be able to sign your own consent form.
