Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You are having heart surgery with a heart-lung machine (cardiopulmonary bypass) at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
  • You are not pregnant.
  • You do not have a rash, missing arm, or an IV line/device on the back of your arm that would prevent placing a sensor.
