Blood markers in advanced thyroid cancer

Thyroid Carcinoma

This study is looking at how certain substances in the blood (called biomarkers) can help doctors understand and treat advanced thyroid cancer. It is for people who are about to start their first systemic therapy (medication that works throughout the body) for advanced thyroid cancer, and who have already had a genetic test on their tumor.

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older and willing to sign a consent form.
  • You have advanced thyroid cancer (well-differentiated, medullary, or anaplastic type) that is ready to start medication that travels through the body.
  • A genetic test (multi-gene NGS panel) has already been done on your tumor tissue.
  • Your tumors can be seen on standard imaging scans like CT or PET.
  • You have not had any prior systemic therapy (medication) for your thyroid cancer.
