Dapagliflozin for kids with genetic kidney disease and protein in urine

Who can take part

  • You must have a confirmed genetic kidney disease (tested by genetic testing or diagnosed by a doctor).
  • Your urine must have more than a small amount of protein (over 0.2 grams in 24 hours or a specific ratio).
  • Kidney function must be at least 60% of normal (measured by a blood test).
  • You must be on a stable dose of a certain blood pressure medicine (ACE inhibitor or ARB) for at least 4 weeks.
  • You cannot have used steroids or other immune-suppressing medicines, or another drug called SGLT2 inhibitor, in the last 4 weeks.
  • You cannot have diabetes, a current urinary tract infection, very low blood pressure, or a history of organ transplant or cancer.
