Who can take part

  • You have Alport syndrome confirmed by genetic testing or a kidney biopsy
  • Your kidney disease is in an early stage: certain urine protein and kidney filtering levels must be met
  • If you take blood pressure medicines that block the RAS system, your dose must be stable
  • You are between age 10 and under 40, based on the trial’s specific urine protein and kidney function thresholds
  • You have not taken an SGLT2 inhibitor (like dapagliflozin-class meds) in the last 4 weeks
  • Your blood pressure is controlled (not above 145/95)
