Who can take part

  • You are between 5 and 18 years old.
  • You have been diagnosed with functional constipation (ongoing constipation not caused by another illness).
  • You have not had surgery for any birth defects in the lower digestive tract.
  • You do not have inflammatory bowel disease (like Crohn's or colitis) or other inflammation of the large intestine.
  • You do not have an anal fissure or any other condition that might affect how your rectum and anus work.
