Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You have advanced Merkel cell carcinoma (Stage III or IV) that has come back or cannot be surgically removed.
- You have at least one tumor that can be injected with the vaccine (at least 3 mm in size).
- You have not had immunotherapy (like pembrolizumab, avelumab, or nivolumab) before.
- You have not had chemotherapy for your Merkel cell cancer.
- You are willing to provide a tumor sample (either from a past biopsy or a new one).
- Your major organs (bone marrow, liver, kidneys) are working well enough.
