- You are between 18 and 65 years old.
- You are having laparoscopic surgery (belly button incisions) to remove your appendix.

- You are healthy enough to be discharged from the recovery room after surgery.
- You are able to return for follow-up visits.
- You do not have diabetes, a weak immune system, or take blood thinners (except low-dose aspirin).
