Laryngeal mask placement in elderly patients

Who can take part

  • You are 60 years or older
  • You are having planned (not emergency) surgery that is not on your chest or heart, and not on your head or neck
  • Your surgery is expected to take between 30 minutes and 2 hours
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is between 18.5 and 24.9
  • You are in good enough health for surgery (ASA I-III and NYHA class I-II)
